A partnership between Auburn’s Office of Communications & Marketing and the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research & Economic Development, the program helps 28 faculty researchers from each of Auburn’s 12 colleges develop strategies and tactics to share their impactful work with broader audiences.

Dr. Huber Hargrove and her molecular epidemiology laboratory research team investigate animal-human-environment interactions on the spread and maintenance of antimicrobial resistance.

An Auburn faculty member since 2021, Dr. Huber Hargrove earned her DVM from Federal University of Santa Maria in Brazil, a Master of Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and a doctorate from the University of Georgia. She earned board certification from the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine in 2022.

After earning her DVM, she worked as a resident veterinarian on a horse breeding farm and as a field veterinarian who concentrated on dairy cattle management. After completing a fellowship program at Hagyard Equine Medicine Institute in Kentucky, she completed a postdoctoral program at ETH in Zurich, Switzerland, where she focused on spatial epidemiology antimicrobial resistance spread in foodborne pathogens.
