CVM faculty member earns Biggio Center fellowship

Auburn University’s Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning has selected Dr. Ryan Gibson, assistant clinical professor of neurology in the College of Veterinary Medicine, for its 2026-2027 Faculty Fellows cohort.

Dr. Gibson

Gibson’s background blends neurology and neurosurgery with adult education. In addition to designing learning opportunities for veterinary students, he develops professional development programs in veterinary education for faculty at Auburn and colleagues nationwide.

Faculty Fellows partner with the Biggio Center to share their disciplinary knowledge and teaching experience with the broader university community. During the academic year, they lead strategic projects, facilitate events and workshops, offer consultations, and support professional development for faculty, staff and graduate instructors.

Gibson’s AI-integrated assignment is featured in the Biggio Center’s AI in Teaching and Learning Showcase, which shows examples of how Auburn University faculty creatively incorporate artificial intelligence into teaching and research.
